Vintage and antique furniture beautifully express individuality in a world of "do it like everyone else." The pieces we selected have stood the test of time and will continue to compliment your existing furniture. Mom has an amazing eye for pieces that will give a little unexpected flare to your style. Your home should always show your favorite people the real you. So, look at these beauties and know that this is only a sample. We bring so many more treasures to the Kane County Antique Market and some of those pieces are photographed in our mega-glam (yes, that's a concrete floor) booth! So, do come see us before those sell!

1950's Black & Gold French Provincial Three Drawer Bachelor's Chest.. Above the three drawers sits a small pull out table top. One may sit and contemplate the writing of one's memoirs or just have more room to fold underwear. There is some wear to the surface but the rest of this fine mid-century piece is immaculate and ready for more use. No odors or stains and the most you will have to do to is dust off the top. That fine "vintage" dust comes from the famous Kane County Market where we display. This one is heavy. Dimensions: 31"H x 18" W x 33"L............SOLD

1840 Pine Four Drawer Dresser. Gorgeous in its handmade simplicity. Fabulous hand to the surfaces. This comes from the estate of Colleen Dishon, the first female masthead writer for the Chicago Tribune. The piece has a rosy red color to it and is signed on the back. The large signature reads something like "HURTIER". It is difficult to read and to photograph. Boards are all hand sawn. Drawer pulls are attached with wooden dowels. The top is undamaged. Great American furniture probably made in Ohio. No odors or damage. Ready for your collection of fine 19th century quilts. SOLD

Vintage Hard Maple & Antique Bamboo Bench. This bench has had a glorious life prior to this one. The bamboo base was found supporting a woodworking lathe. The original top long gone. We saw the potential. Base is sturdy and beautiful and Mom found a silky smooth hard maple top to mate with the bamboo and VIOLA! This gorgeous bench that can sit at the end of your queen size bed and you may yank your socks on whilst you sit or you can yell at your spouse about putting a cold drink sans coaster on the top of this as a coffee table. Dimensions: 17"H x 14"W x 36"L.............$350.00

1870's Eastlake Commode in Solid Walnut. The hand on this wood is the most delightful caress one could hope to experience. Warm and smooth, this piece has stood the test of time and will do so for many more generations to come. The brasses are original and the top is one solid board of walnut. There is a key with the piece and the locks work. The escutcheons are all original and beautifully designed. One shelf in the interior. No cracks or damage or bad smells. The door sticks a bit but it can withstand a good pull. Solid through and through. Dimensions: 28"W x 16"D x 30"H.........SOLD

1900's Art Nouveau French Tray Table w/ Valny Hand Painted Tile Top. Lovingly carved Art Nouveau walnut table has frond and tendril design. Cabriolet legs have lily or trumpet flower tops. Glass tray top lifts off for easy cleaning. Beautiful mahogany and rosewood veneers rim the hand painted women on the tile. Signed by artist Valny, a Russian ceramicist and painter famous for his decorative tiles on period French furniture. Sadly, this piece has seen some action and maybe more than one person who tried to pry the tile out of the piece. The tile has been cracked by this effort and there is some inlay loss to the bead around the tile. One quarter side has also lost some of the intricate carving due to a move. There is a cross bar that stabilizes the underside of the table. This treasure needs some restoration but is well worth the work. A very delicate gem in the rough. Stands 22.5" high and 22" round. $500.00 + s&h.

1900's Mahogany Dressing Mirror w/ Drawer. Limited on space? Don't want to hang a big mirror? Still want to be able to check your do before exiting the bedroom when the in-laws are visiting? Well this will do it. You can hide your baubles in the drawer below or use it as a catchall or maybe just store loose change. Whatever you do, it will bring understated elegance to your room. No damage. Mirror is original and has minor silver loss around the very edge. $100.00

Antique Empire Railroad Baggage Cart. I lead a privileged life as a child. I rode Santa Fe's Texas Chief first class. Bound for Galveston, I was dressed in a perfect yellow dress, Saks, complete with hat and flawless black patent leather shoes. Mom, the height of fashion, in her Daniello's custom Italian suit with stiletto kidskin navy pumps. Dad, Brook's Brother's all the way. Now you just don't throw those clothes into a soft sider and into the over head bin (as I do now when bound for overseas). A porter took your baggage on this cart to the baggage car with utmost care and THEN catapulted it onto the car while you boarded the train. That's finesse. This is that cart that did that deed for those of us who enjoyed the privilege of train travel. $125.00

1920's Poplar Five Drawer Chest. The wheat stalk brasses are original. All locks work. No odors to this wonderful little piece. It will store your lingerie to your sweaters nicely while asserting your declaration of independence from Room & Board knock-offs. Wheels make it easy to move when your decorating moods hits. Smooth and silky. No damage and dig that fab ladder side design. This is solid through and through. No veneers. Most men can't even say that about their ex-wives! $390.00

1900's Antique Three Panel "Bamboo" Dressing Screen w/ Double Damask Fabric When Mom found this it was in sad need of new fabric and so she added the vintage 1920's double damask cotton fabric. The screen is 6 feet at its highest and has three panels. The oak rods are painted to resemble bamboo. The hinges are in perfect working order. So while you dress he can just stand on the other side to preserve your modesty...if you wish. SOLD
